KidGlov, a boutique marketing and advertising agency based out of Lincoln and Omaha, Neb., recently welcomed Anne Hindery, CEO of the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM), to its podcast, Agency for Change. The episode explores how NAM supports nonprofit organizations across the region.
“The Nonprofit Association of the Midlands strengthens the voice, leadership and capacity of nonprofit organizations, which in turn strengthens our communities,” said Kelley Peterson, KidGlov vice president, nonprofit creative director. “It was fascinating to have Anne on the podcast and learn more about the great work she’s doing.”
The Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) is a membership organization for nonprofits of all sizes and missions in Nebraska and western Iowa. They connect organizations with information, education, advocacy and collaboration to help members focus their energy on the people and communities they serve. NAM is part of the National Council of Nonprofits, which is the largest network of nonprofits in the country.
During the Agency for Change podcast, Hindery spoke about the challenges nonprofits face, how the pandemic escalated, and in some cases, created new challenges, and how the NAM supports philanthropic work.
“Every great social innovation is started by a nonprofit. I’d like to say our job is to make the work of our nonprofit members easier,” said Hindery.
Hindery and her team support local nonprofits through a variety of programs including their signature program, Guidelines and Principles, an online assessment tool that helps nonprofits review areas of opportunity in 12 areas of nonprofit business including board governance, fundraising, financial management, human resources and more.
